DESCRIPTION: WW - Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Chronomatic, automatic, 48mm x 48mm to lug tips, 22mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with bi-directional slide rule bezel, round pump pushers set on opposite side of winding crown, brown leather strap, original black glossy gilt 24 hour dial with luminous painted Arabic indices, date aperture at 6, two inset subregisters for minute recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J, s#1349525, triple signed. Watch comes with recent service receipt dated 2019 in which a full overhaul cleaning and adjustment took place to the tune of $1,196. Part of the historically significant partnership for project 99, Heuer along with Hamilton/Buren, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz set out to construct the world's first automatic chronograph, although who was truly "first" is up for endless debate among vintage collectors.
